Accommodation

Our accommodation offers 3 rooms in all, 2 double rooms with ensuite shower room and 1 twin bedded room with ensuite bathroom (shower over the bath). If a third double room is required the twin beds can be joined together to provide this. The bathrooms have complimentary Au Lait Toiletries and there are large fluffy bathsheets and hand towels, bath mats and face cloths for your use.

The bedrooms all have central heating, well stocked tea tray, hairdryers, radio alarms and Bathrobes. The flat screen TV's have Freeview and built in DVD players, please feel free to bring a film or two to watch.

The comfortable guest lounge downstairs has real crackling log fires in the winter , a Freeview flat screen TV and DVD player. There is lots of tourist information, books and maps which you can borrow to help you plan your day. A fridge is also provided for you.

Local Food

The Free-Range Eggs are from my very own girls, Elsie and the gang, and will have been laid either this morning or yesterday.
Our sausages and Bacon are from Weegmans Butchers in Otley or my brothers farm 2 miles away .
The Milk, Butter and Yogurt are all from Yorkshire producers.

The Heather honey is produced by busy bees who spend their summer on Hanging Moor here at Scaife Hall Farm.

Jams and Marmalades are from Bracken Hill Fine Foods

Smoked Salmon and Award winning Kippers are from Mackenzies Smokehouse here at Blubberhouses

'Doreens' Black Pudding is from Haighs of Thirsk or from Weegmans who make it themselves on their premises in Otley.

As our breakfasts are cooked to order it isn’t a fast food experience and we do ask that you be patient with us.

If you are with us for more than one night you may wish to try something a bit different tomorrow.

The following dishes are available but must be ordered the night before….

Porridge, Served just as it is, thick and creamy,
Or with Scaife Hall Honey and toasted Almonds

Mackenzies Smokehouse Kippers, served just as they are or with a poached egg.

Breakfast Menu

Please help yourself to the choice of Cereals, Yogurt, Grapefruit Segments, Prunes and freshly prepared fruit salad from the buffet

Then choose either…….

A Scaife Hall Breakfast – Scaife Hall eggs cooked to your liking, Grilled Local sausage and bacon, crispy fried bread, Baked beans, Mushrooms and Tomato (fresh not canned). Black pudding.

Scrambled eggs served on their own
Or with Bacon, tomato and mushrooms
Or sausage and beans……. or your own combination

Or with Mackenzies Smoked Salmon

Boiled Eggs and Toasted Soldiers

Poached Eggs on Toast

A toasted muffin topped with Bacon and melted Cheddar cheese

Baked Beans on Toast or Cheese on toast

Followed by Toast, White &/or Wholemeal, with various Marmalades and preserves from Bracken Hill Fine Foods near York or Scaife Hall Farm Honey.

Tea – Yorkshire Tea ( nothing else will do), Fruit Tea or Earl Grey Tea
Taylors of Harrogate Cafetiere of Coffee, usually Lazy Sunday, whatever day it is !!!
